Accounts Head

Job Summary:

The Head Accountant is responsible for managing the complete accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, and financial control. The role involves supervising the accounts team and maintaining proper financial discipline within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (Sales, Purchase, Cash, Bank, Journal entries).

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure timely GST, TDS, PT, and other statutory compliance and filings.

• Handle finalization of accounts and coordinate with auditors (Internal & External).

• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliation, and fund management.

• Manage payroll processing and salary disbursement.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management review.

• Control expenses and ensure financial discipline.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

• Supervise and guide the accounts team.

• Handle vendor payments and statutory payments on time.

• Assist management in financial planning and decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) / M.Com / CA Inter preferred.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting & finance.

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.

• Proficiency in Tally / ERP software and MS Excel.

• Strong analytical and leadership skills.

• Good communication and team management abilities.

• Experience in automobile industry preferred (if applicable).
