Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting activities, including maintaining books of accounts, cost analysis, asset accounting, billing, and financial analysis. The candidate will also be responsible for procurement-related accounting and performing competitive and quarterly financial analysis of peer IT companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.

• Handle general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Manage asset creation, capitalization, depreciation, and asset registers.

• Perform cost analysis and support management with cost optimization insights.

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.

Billing & Payments:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable.

• Ensure timely vendor payments and follow-ups on receivables.

• Verify invoices, expense claims, and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with internal teams for billing accuracy and collections.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Support procurement accounting, including PO verification and vendor reconciliation.

• Track procurement costs and analyze vendor pricing.

• Maintain vendor master data and compliance records.

Financial & Competitive Analysis:

• Conduct quarterly financial analysis of peer IT companies.

• Prepare competitive benchmarking reports based on industry data.

• Analyze cost structures, margins, and financial trends of competitors.

• Support management with insights for strategic and financial planning.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements.

• Support audits (internal & external) by preparing required documentation.

• Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Experience with billing, AP/AR, asset accounting, and cost analysis.

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / SAP / QuickBooks, etc.).

• Understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances in India.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Good to Have:

• Experience in an IT / Software services company.

• Knowledge of financial modeling or industry benchmarking.

• Exposure to quarterly reports and competitor analysis.

• CA-Inter / CMA-Inter candidates preferred (not mandatory).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and coordination abilities

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
