Position Overview
The Accounts Executive will manage the day-to-day financial transactions, patient billing verification, and general accounting operations of the hospital. This role requires an individual who can balance routine bookkeeping with the fast-paced demands of hospital billing, vendor payments, and daily cash reconciliation. The candidate must possess decent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, vendors, and internal medical teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hospital Billing & Cash Management
IPD/OPD Billing: Oversee, verify, and finalize inpatient (IPD) and outpatient (OPD) final bills, ensuring all doctor visit fees, pharmacy charges, and diagnostic costs are accurately tracked.
Daily Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash, card, and UPI (GPay, PhonePe) collections against the Hospital Information System (HIS) reports before closing the day's books.
Refunds & Concessions: Process authorized patient refunds, discounts, or concessions strictly according to hospital management policies.
2. Core Accounting & Bookkeeping
Data Entry: Maintain up-to-date ledger accounts by accurately logging daily receipts, expenses, and journal vouchers in accounting software (Tally Prime/ERP).
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Track outstanding dues from corporate clients or TPA/insurance companies. Verify and process payments for local vendors, pharmaceutical suppliers, and utility bills.
Banking Operations: Handle physical cash deposits at the bank, manage petty cash management, and perform monthly bank reconciliations (BRS).
3. Compliance & Reporting
Statutory Assist: Assist the senior management/auditor in compiling data for monthly GST filing, TDS deductions on professional fees (doctors), and regular financial reporting.
Audit Support: Prepare necessary schedules and paperwork for internal and external financial audits.
