Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledger.
Prepare daily, monthly, and annual financial reports.
Record and reconcile patient billing, insurance claims, and cash collections.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Monitor hospital expenses and prepare budget variance reports.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow records.
Coordinate payroll processing and statutory deductions.
Prepare and file GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and other statutory returns as applicable.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and hospital financial policies.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Prepare management reports and financial analyses for decision-making.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
MBA (Finance), M.Com, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Freshers with strong accounting knowledge may be considered for junior roles.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with hospital billing and insurance claim reconciliation is an advantage.
Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Busy, SAP, or other accounting software.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Preferred Experience
Experience in hospitals, diagnostic centers, nursing homes, or healthcare organizations.
Knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and medical billing processes.
Familiarity with NABH financial documentation requirements is an added advantage.
