Security Officer

Key roles and responsibilities of a security officer:

• Patrol and Security:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain order and deter crime. 

  • Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to alarms promptly. 

  • Ensure secure entry and exit points, including doors, windows, and other openings. 

• Access Control:

  • Monitor and authorize the entry of people and vehicles. 

  • Control access to restricted areas and facilities. 

  • Verify visitor IDs and maintain visitor logs. 

• Incident Response:

  • Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely manner. 

  • Investigate suspicious activities and report any irregularities to management. 

  • Apprehend and detain trespassers or perpetrators until law enforcement arrives. 

• Reporting:

  • Compile detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of security activities. 

  • Communicate security concerns and information to appropriate personnel.
