Counsellor

Student Recruitment is responsible for increasing international student enrolment by developing and managing strong recruitment pipelines through agents, schools, and direct student engagement. The role focuses on promoting the University’s academic programmes, advising prospective students on admissions and academic pathways, maintaining strategic relationships with educational partners and agents, and representing the University at recruitment events and outreach initiatives across the region. The position plays a key role in guiding prospective students from initial inquiry to enrolment while expanding the University’s international presence and market reach

Principal Duties:

•        Develop and implement international student recruitment strategies to achieve enrolment targets across assigned regions.

•        Manage and strengthen relationships with recruitment agents, consultants, schools, and other educational partners to build sustainable recruitment pipelines.

•        Advise prospective students on academic programmes, admission requirements, career pathways, and campus life, ensuring accurate and timely information.

•        Handle prospective student enquiries received through agents and directly, guiding applicants from initial contact through application and enrolment.

•        Conduct student interviews, assess academic backgrounds and extracurricular profiles, and recommend suitable programmes.

•        Organise and participate in recruitment events, school visits, exhibitions, information sessions, webinars, and campus tours.

•        Represent the University at local and international recruitment fairs and outreach initiatives, including regular travel across the region.

•        Maintain and regularly update the student recruitment database, ensuring systematic follow-up with prospective students and schools.

•        Monitor recruitment performance, analyse market trends, and prepare reports on agent performance, leads, conversions, and enrolment outcomes.

•        Collaborate closely with Admissions, Marketing, Academic, and Student Services teams to ensure a seamless applicant experience.
