Job Purpose:
The Sales Consultant – Software Channel Consulting will act as a business growth partner for Tally Channel Partners and other their customers.
He/she will consult these partner companies on how to increase their sales, implement structured sales and review processes, and drive performance improvement through consulting and training programs. Conduct online and offline trainings for the business owners and their employees.
Simultaneously, the consultant will be responsible for driving Velocity’s own consulting and training revenue within the assigned branch or region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner Business Consulting
Engage with Tally Channel Partners and software resellers to assess their sales operations, team structure, and business performance.
Identify gaps in sales planning, team management, and customer engagement.
Design and implement Partner Growth Plansinitiated by Tally Solutions to increase their Tally and allied product business.
Conduct regular reviews with partners on Sales Targets, KRA/KPI tracking, and performance improvement.
Provide coaching and mentoring to partner and their sales teams.
2. Drive Velocity’s Consulting & Training Business
Promote Velocity’s consulting programs, workshops, and training modules to partners and other SMEs.
Achieve branch-level revenue targets for consulting and training services.
Identify new business opportunities for expansion of Velocity’s offerings within the region.
Build strong relationships with partner owners, team members, and local business networks.
3. Sales & Performance Management
Plan and execute monthly and quarterly business reviews with partner companies.
Help partners implement sales discipline – lead management, funnel reviews, and conversion tracking.
Ensure measurable improvement in partner revenue, productivity, and profitability.
Maintain dashboards and performance reports for both partner progress and Velocity’s consulting growth.
4. Training & Enablement
Conduct skill enhancement sessions and training workshops for partner sales teams.
Promote participation in Company’s flagship programs like BEP (Business Essentials Program), PGP (Partner Growth Program), and GVLA workshops.
Support team members through Velocity-led training programs.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with the Velocity HO team for project execution and documentation.
Submit branch-wise performance reports and revenue forecasts to management.
Coordinate with the marketing team for events, partner meets, and lead generation campaigns.
Qualifications:
Graduate / MBA in Business, Marketing, or Commerce.
Knowledge of B2B sales.
Exposure to channel or partner management will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong business consulting and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Experience in B2B sales, business process consulting, or channel enablement.
Ability to handle performance reviews and business improvement discussions.
Self-driven, analytical, and target-oriented mindset.
