Job Title: Senior Procurement Executive

Job Summary

The Senior Procurement Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations, developing strong vendor relationships, and driving cost-effective sourcing strategies. This role ensures efficient supply chain management by analysing market trends, negotiating contracts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while adhering to company policies and compliance standards, with a focus on sourcing commodities such as Pulses, Makhana, and Dry Fruits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, particularly in Pulses, Makhana, and Dry Fruits categories
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and value
• Build long-term relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance

2. Procurement Operations

• Manage the procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order and delivery for Pulses, Makhana, and Dry Fruits
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability
• Track and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking

3. Strategic Sourcing

• Analyse market trends, pricing, and supply risks in Pulses, Makhana, and Dry Fruits markets
• Develop sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery timelines
• Identify alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities

4. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations
• Prepare and present MIS reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records

5. Inventory & Coordination

• Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements, especially for Pulses, Makhana, and Dry Fruits
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles
• Industry experience in FMCG, food commodities, Pulses, Makhana, and Dry Fruits procurement preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
