A Bank Assistant supports daily banking operations by providing customer service, handling routine transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with administrative tasks. The role ensures smooth branch functioning while delivering professional and efficient service to customers.
Assist customers with inquiries related to accounts, deposits, withdrawals, and banking services.
Process routine transactions such as cash deposits, withdrawals, cheque clearances, and fund transfers.
Maintain accurate customer records and update account information.
Support the branch in opening and closing customer accounts.
Handle documentation, filing, and data entry tasks.
Assist with loan processing, KYC verification, and compliance formalities.
Resolve customer issues or direct them to appropriate officers.
Assist senior staff in daily branch operations and administrative duties.
Ensure adherence to bank policies, security procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Promote banking products and services to customers when required.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of banking procedures and financial products.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, banking software).
Attention to detail and strong numerical ability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
Prior experience in banking, customer service, or administrative roles (optional but beneficial).
