Job Title: Senior Accountant

📍 Location: Borivali, Mumbai

💰 Compensation: ₹4–6 LPA (based on experience)

We operate across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C channels, offering innovative solutions like Insurance on EMI, AI-powered support (Policy Hawaldar), and digitized claims infrastructure. We are expanding our finance and operations team and looking for a Senior Accountant who will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and supporting growth initiatives.


*Role Summary*

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the organization’s core financial activities. This role will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and guiding a small team of junior accountants. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and can collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining a strong command over accounting principles and compliance mandates.


*Key Responsibilities*

- Prepare and maintain financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly cash flow forecasts

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including entries, reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny

- Manage direct and indirect tax compliances – GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns and reconciliations

- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders during audits

- Lead the budgeting process, monitor expenses, and perform variance analysis

- Assist in capital raising processes and manage share allotments, ESOPs, and cap tables

- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and financial policies

- Strengthen internal financial controls, approvals, and documentation processes

- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accountants and finance assistants


Qualifications & Skills

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) – CA Inter or M.Com preferred

✅ Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including team supervision

✅ Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and working knowledge of finance software

✅ Strong understanding of Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, IT) and compliance requirements

✅ Experience with audits, budgeting, and cash flow management

✅ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

✅ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and integrity

✅ Effective communicator with leadership mindset
