Job Summary

As a Store Helper, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, handling inventory, supporting billing activities, and helping create a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Welcome customers with a courteous and professional attitude.

• Understand customer requirements and assist them in selecting suitable products.

• Provide accurate information regarding product features, pricing, availability, offers, and after-sales services.

• Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and new arrivals.

• Resolve basic customer queries or direct them to the appropriate team member.

Store Operations

• Receive, unpack, and arrange incoming stock.

• Ensure shelves and display areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Store Manager.

• Assist in inventory counting and stock verification.

• Handle product returns and exchanges as per company procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping throughout the store.

Sales Support

• Support the sales team in achieving monthly sales targets.

• Cross-sell and upsell products wherever appropriate.

• Assist with billing and POS transactions when required.

• Help customers load purchased materials whenever necessary.

Team Coordination

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient store operations.

• Share customer feedback and suggestions with the Store Manager.

• Stay updated on newly introduced products, pricing changes, and company policies.

• Follow all company safety and operational guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

Education

• Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass

• Higher qualifications are welcome.

Experience

• 0–3 years of experience in retail, hardware, building materials, or a similar industry.

• Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer-focused attitude.

• Basic mathematical and billing knowledge.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Physically fit to lift and arrange store materials when required.

• Honest, punctual, responsible, and team-oriented.

• Basic knowledge of inventory management will be an added advantage.
