Job Summary
As a Store Helper, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, handling inventory, supporting billing activities, and helping create a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Welcome customers with a courteous and professional attitude.
Understand customer requirements and assist them in selecting suitable products.
Provide accurate information regarding product features, pricing, availability, offers, and after-sales services.
Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and new arrivals.
Resolve basic customer queries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
Store Operations
Receive, unpack, and arrange incoming stock.
Ensure shelves and display areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Store Manager.
Assist in inventory counting and stock verification.
Handle product returns and exchanges as per company procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping throughout the store.
Sales Support
Support the sales team in achieving monthly sales targets.
Cross-sell and upsell products wherever appropriate.
Assist with billing and POS transactions when required.
Help customers load purchased materials whenever necessary.
Team Coordination
Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient store operations.
Share customer feedback and suggestions with the Store Manager.
Stay updated on newly introduced products, pricing changes, and company policies.
Follow all company safety and operational guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
Education
Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass
Higher qualifications are welcome.
Experience
0–3 years of experience in retail, hardware, building materials, or a similar industry.
Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused attitude.
Basic mathematical and billing knowledge.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit to lift and arrange store materials when required.
Honest, punctual, responsible, and team-oriented.
Basic knowledge of inventory management will be an added advantage.
