• Supplier Management: Identifying, vetting, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality. 

• Strategic Sourcing: Researching market trends and new suppliers to find the most cost-effective and high-quality options. 

• Negotiation: Negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve favorable outcomes. 

• Purchase Order Management: Creating, reviewing, and accurately processing purchase orders. 

• Cost and Quality Control: Analyzing total cost of ownership and establishing quality standards for purchased items. 

• Inventory Management: Collaborating with teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with finance, operations, and other departments to understand requirements and ensure smooth procurement.

• Negotiation: Skill in obtaining the best prices and terms. 

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market conditions, costs, and supply chain risks. 

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Qualifications 

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
