We are seeking an energetic, results-driven, and customer-focused Store Manager to lead daily operations at our retail garment store. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fashion retail, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales while maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Growth
Drive Revenue: Set, monitor, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Customer Experience: Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional, personalized styling and customer service to build long-term client relationships and high retention.
Promotions & Events: Execute in-store promotional campaigns, festive sales events, and social media-driven marketing initiatives seamlessly on the shop floor.
2. Team Leadership & Management
Training & Coaching: Train staff on product knowledge, fabric care, upselling techniques, and customer handling.
Scheduling: Manage staff rosters and shift planning to ensure optimal floor coverage during peak shopping hours and weekends.
Performance Tracking: Set individual sales goals for floor staff, conduct performance reviews, and motivate the team to achieve targets.
3. Inventory & Stock Management
Stock Control: Conduct regular stock audits, monitor inventory levels, and manage replenishment to prevent dead stock or stockouts.
Merchandise Handling: Oversee the receiving, tagging, quality checking, and proper storage of new garment shipments.
Shrinkage Control: Implement loss prevention strategies and maintain accurate records to minimize inventory shrinkage or damage.
4. Visual Merchandising & Store Standards
Floor Appeal: Maintain high visual merchandising standards—ensuring windows, mannequin displays, racks, and shelves are neat, clean, and styled attractively to draw in foot traffic.
Brand Consistency: Ensure correct sizing, color-blocking, and seasonal collections are prominently and intuitively displayed.
Store Maintenance: Oversee general store upkeep, cleanliness, and fixture maintenance.
5. Administrative & Operational Control
Cash Management: Handle cash counters, daily sales reconciliations, POS system operations, and safe drops.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to local labor laws, safety regulations, and store policies.
Reporting: Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales reports, customer feedback summaries, and stock requirements to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years of retail management experience, preferably within the apparel/fashion sector.
Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent understanding of garment fabrics, sizing, trends, and customer styling.
Basic proficiency in retail POS software and inventory management tools.
Goal-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Education: High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Fashion Retail, or a related field.
