Job Title: Payroll Executive – (Payroll & Statutory Compliance)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to manage and oversee payroll operations and ensure full statutory compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of labor laws, payroll processing, audits, and regulatory filings, along with the ability to handle confidential employee data with accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
Manage end-to-end payroll processing (monthly/bi-weekly) ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Validate attendance, leave records, incentives, reimbursements, and deductions
Handle payroll inputs, final settlements (F&F), and off-cycle payments
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation
Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.)
Manage timely statutory filings and returns
Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and consultants
Stay updated with changes in labor laws and implement necessary updates
Audit & Reporting
Prepare payroll reports, MIS, and dashboards for management
Support internal and external audits related to payroll and compliance
Maintain proper documentation and records for compliance checks
Employee Support
Address employee queries related to payroll, tax deductions, and compliance
Provide Form 16, tax computation support, and investment declarations
Conduct awareness sessions on payroll and statutory benefits if required
Vendor & System Management
Coordinate with payroll vendors (if outsourced)
Ensure HRMS/payroll systems are updated and functioning efficiently
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Key Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in HR/ Finance/ Commerce or related field
MBA/PGDM in HR or Finance (preferred)
Experience
2–10 years of experience in payroll and statutory compliance.
Experience handling large employee base preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance
Proficiency in payroll software and HRMS systems
Advanced Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
