A Payroll Executive manages the entire payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate salary processing, tax compliance (like TDS), employee benefits administration (reimbursements, PF), and record-keeping, while collaborating with HR/Finance, resolving queries, and generating reports, requiring strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of payroll software and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Calculate wages, bonuses, deductions, overtime, and manage timely salary disbursement.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to labor laws, tax regulations (TDS), prepare returns, and generate management reports (MIS, dashboards).
Data Management:
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, enter new hires, process changes (hires, terminations, promotions).
Employee Support:
Address and resolve payroll-related questions and issues from employees.
Collaboration:
Work closely with HR for data accuracy and Finance for fund disbursement and GL entries.
Benefits & Deductions:
Administer benefits, reimbursements, Provident Fund (PF), and other statutory deductions.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Executive or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of payroll software, HRIS, and accounting principles.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Knowledge of Indian labor laws and tax regulations.
