We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant HR Manager to support our HR operations at shipbuilding sites. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing HR policies, managing workforce requirements, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting employee engagement in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
✅ Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning for shipbuilding projects
✅ Handle employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary processes
✅ Maintain HR records and ensure proper documentation as per company policies
✅ Coordinate training & development programs for workforce skill enhancement
✅ Support in performance management processes and periodic appraisals
✅ Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and site-specific regulations
✅ Collaborate with project management teams to address workforce requirements
✅ Assist in managing attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and contractor workforce records
✅ Foster a positive work environment, employee engagement, and welfare initiatives
✅ Prepare HR reports and MIS for management review
✔ Knowledge of HR operations, policies, and statutory compliance (ESIC, PF, Gratuity, etc.)
✔ Exposure to handling HR activities in shipbuilding, construction, or similar industries
✔ Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
✔ Ability to work under pressure and in project-based environments
✔ Proficiency in MS Office & HR software
✔ Knowledge of industrial relations and workforce management at project sites
Prior experience in shipbuilding, heavy engineering, marine, or similar industries
Knowledge of site-based HR operations
