Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – HR to support and manage core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, HR operations, statutory compliance, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of HR practices and be capable of driving HR initiatives to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth functioning of HR processes.
Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and HRMIS data.
Ensure implementation and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Handle employee queries and provide HR support across departments.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for various positions.
Coordinate interviews, candidate evaluations, and offer management.
Conduct employee onboarding, induction, and orientation programs.
Ensure smooth joining and documentation processes.
Performance Management (PMS)
Coordinate and administer the Performance Management System (PMS).
Facilitate KRA and KPI setting across departments.
Monitor appraisal cycles and ensure timely completion of performance reviews.
Generate performance reports and support management with performance analytics.
Employee Engagement & Relations
Plan and execute employee engagement activities and initiatives.
Address employee grievances and maintain positive employee relations.
Conduct employee feedback and satisfaction surveys.
Promote a healthy and productive work environment.
Training & Development
Identify training needs through performance reviews and departmental feedback.
Coordinate internal and external training programs.
Maintain training records and evaluate program effectiveness.
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with payroll and compliance teams regarding attendance, leave, and employee records.
Support audits and maintain statutory documentation.
Reporting & MIS
Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
Track recruitment, attrition, attendance, and performance metrics.
Present HR reports to management for decision-making.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of HR Operations, Recruitment, PMS, KPI & KRA Management.
Experience in Employee Engagement and Employee Relations.
Knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in HRMS and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS Reporting).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
Experience
5–8 years of experience in Human Resources.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in handling PMS, Recruitment, and HR Operations.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in managing end-to-end HR functions independently.
Strong stakeholder management and team coordination skills.
Ability to drive HR initiatives and process improvements.
Hands-on experience with HR analytics, performance management, and employee engagement programs.
