We are seeking a warm, well-groomed, and organized Salon Receptionist to be the face of our salon. As the first point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing appointments, handling payments, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming front desk experience. Your role is key to creating a positive impression and supporting the salon team.
Greet clients warmly and professionally as they arrive.
Manage the appointment book (walk-ins, phone calls, and online bookings).
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about salon services, prices, and availability.
Confirm and remind clients of upcoming appointments.
Handle client check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
Process payments via cash, card, or digital methods.
Promote retail products and upsell services where appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and waiting area.
Coordinate with stylists and technicians to manage scheduling changes or delays.
Keep client records up to date, including contact information and service history.
Assist with light administrative and cleaning tasks as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in customer service, ideally in a salon, spa, or similar environment.
Friendly and polished appearance with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication and time management.
Familiarity with salon booking systems (e.g., Vagaro, Fresha, Mindbody) is a plus.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Basic math skills for handling payments and cash register.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
