Responsibilities:
Good front office staff is of tremendous value to any institute that allows the doctors and nurses to concentrate solely on patient care.
The front office staff is responsible for receiving and greeting the patients and visitors. They attend phone calls, answer inquiries, and assist patients in filling up documents.
Reaching out to patients about their appointments and doing regular follow-up phone calls
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
Maintaining patient records, handling billing/payment records, reviewing insurance policies, confidentiality, and maintaining financial records
Recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing/ collecting third-party claims.
Using various accounting and medical record software is essential for a front desk officer
Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies
Qualifications:
1 year plus relevant experience in similar role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to do multi-tasking.
