The Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk operations of the hospital, greeting patients, handling registration, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. The role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage patient queries efficiently.
Greet patients and visitors in a polite and professional manner.
Manage patient registration, admission, and discharge process.
Provide accurate information regarding hospital services, timings, and procedures.
Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and appointment scheduling.
Maintain appointment records and update doctors’ schedules.
Assist in OPD/IPD billing as required.
Ensure proper documentation of patient records.
Maintain daily reports and handover logs.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for smooth patient flow.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area.
Support administrative tasks assigned by the management or HR department.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Follow hospital policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
Ensure high standards of customer service and behavior.
Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate (Preferred).
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, billing systems).
Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Ability to multitask and handle pressure during rush hours.
Prior experience in hospital reception (preferred but not mandatory).
As per hospital shift schedule.
Reports to: Front Office Manager / HR / Administration.
