Staff Nurse

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse provides direct clinical support and compassionate patient care, assisting doctors in delivering sexual and reproductive health services while ensuring comfort, dignity, and confidentiality for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during consultations, examinations, and clinical procedures

• Record vital signs, take patient history, and prepare patients for examination

• Administer medications, injections, and immunisations as prescribed

• Assist with family planning procedures (e.g., IUD insertion, injectable contraceptives) and minor gynaecological procedures

• Provide pre- and post-procedure care, monitoring, and patient counselling

• Ensure sterilisation, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols are strictly followed

• Maintain and update patient records and case files accurately

• Provide emotional support, reassurance, and basic health education to patients

• Manage and monitor clinic inventory of medical supplies and medicines

• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid/basic life support as required

Qualifications & Experience

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, with valid nursing council registration

• 1–3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in women's health, obstetrics & gynaecology, or family planning services

Skills & Competencies

• Sound clinical and nursing skills, including phlebotomy and assisting with minor procedures

• Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care

• Strong communication and counselling skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with tact

• Good organisational, record-keeping, and multitasking ability

Working Conditions

• Based full-time at the clinic; may support outreach camps occasionally

• Requires close, hands-on patient contact

• Standard clinic hours with flexibility for emergencies as required

Salary - 18,000 - 20,000

• It is a Full Time Nurse / Compounder job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
