Job Summary
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments. The role involves assisting fertility specialists during consultations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, maintaining clinical documentation, and delivering compassionate care throughout the patient's fertility journey.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
Provide compassionate nursing care to OPD and IVF patients.
Monitor patients before, during, and after fertility procedures.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate nursing records.
Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
Clinical Assistance
Assist doctors during consultations and fertility procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures such as IUI, OPU (Ovum Pick-Up), ET (Embryo Transfer), HSG, and other minor procedures.
Assist in recovery room monitoring following procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all equipment is ready.
Medication Management
Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
Maintain proper documentation of medication administration.
Educate patients on self-administration of fertility injections when required.
Infection Control
Follow infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
Maintain aseptic techniques during all procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and readiness of treatment rooms.
Documentation
Maintain patient records accurately in the hospital management system.
Document nursing observations and treatment details.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Coordination
Coordinate with doctors, embryologists, counsellors, pharmacists, and front office staff.
Assist in scheduling procedures and patient follow-ups.
Support smooth patient flow within the centre.
Qualifications
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM
Valid Nursing Council Registration
Experience
1–3 years of nursing experience.
Experience in IVF, OT, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, or Women's Health is preferred.
Freshers with a valid nursing registration may also apply.
Skills Required
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and infection control.
Ability to assist in minor procedures and OT.
Good documentation and computer skills.
Team player with a compassionate and professional attitude.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in Fertility, IVF, Gynaecology, or OT is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal and counselling skills.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
