The Patient Caretaker provides compassionate, attentive, and professional care to patients who need assistance with daily living activities and medical support. This role ensures the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients while supporting nurses, doctors, and family members in maintaining quality care.
Assist patients with daily personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Help with mobility and repositioning, ensuring comfort and preventing bedsores or injuries.
Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report abnormalities.
Assist with feeding and hydration, following dietary restrictions and medical guidance.
Support nurses and medical staff during procedures, patient transfers, or transport within the facility.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms and care areas.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting mental well-being.
Follow infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times.
Report changes in the patient’s condition promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
Handle basic first aid and emergency assistance when needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), or equivalent training preferred.
Previous experience in patient care, hospital assistance, or home healthcare strongly preferred.
Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
Compassionate, patient, and responsible with strong communication skills.
Physical ability to assist with lifting, repositioning, and other caregiving duties.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
