A Dental Assistant supports dentists in providing patient care, maintaining sterilization standards, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. They assist during procedures, prepare instruments, and help patients feel comfortable.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during dental procedures (fillings, extractions, cleanings, etc.)
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs
Ensure proper infection control and hygiene protocols
Prepare patients for treatments and procedures
Take dental X-rays (if trained and certified)
Manage patient appointments and maintain records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and place orders when needed.
