Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Service Engineer with experience in Industrial Automation Systems. The role involves installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems and equipment at client sites. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, and industrial control panels, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction.
Perform on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and support of industrial automation systems.
Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives, sensors, actuators, and control panels.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance at customer locations.
Configure and calibrate field instruments and automation hardware.
Provide technical support and operational training to customer staff on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
Coordinate with internal teams for spares, documentation, and system updates.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety, automation standards, and EHS guidelines.
Document service visits thoroughly – including diagnostic reports, service checklists, and recommendations.
Participate in system upgrades, retrofitting, and performance improvement projects.
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation service or commissioning (Freshers with automation project exposure may be considered).
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Understanding of SCADA, HMI, and VFD systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with a logical and structured approach.
Willingness to travel extensively for site work.
Familiarity with basic networking (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus) is a plus.
Experience working on assembly lines, packaging machines, robotic arms, or process automation setups.
Exposure to safety PLCs, remote IOs, and industrial communication protocols.
Basic understanding of control panel wiring and testing procedures.
Work will be primarily conducted at customer industrial sites (factories, plants, workshops).
Must be physically fit to handle field activities like climbing ladders, carrying tools, and working in enclosed spaces.
Frequent travel required – typically 70% to 90%, including outstation and overnight trips.
