The Welder is responsible for performing welding operations to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components used in packaging machinery and process equipment, ensuring high quality, precision, and safety.
Execute welding tasks using MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas Welding techniques as per drawings and work orders.
Read and interpret fabrication blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics.
Ensure welds meet dimensional accuracy and strength standards.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting parts before welding.
Inspect completed welds for defects and perform corrective actions when necessary.
Maintain welding equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
Work with the fabrication team to meet daily production targets.
Follow all safety procedures, wear PPE, and participate in safety training.
