Job Description

Name: VMC Programmer

Department: VMC

Position: VMC Programmer

Experience: 6–7

Job Responsibilities

• Create VMC machining using CAM software.

• Plan machining operations for mould components.

• Optimize machining cycle time and improve productivity.

• Select suitable cutting tools and machining parameters.

• Support VMC operators during setup and troubleshooting.

• Ensure dimensional accuracy as per drawings.

• Coordinate with Design, Assembly, and Quality departments.

• Improve machining processes and reduce tool wear.

Requirements

• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

• 6–7 years of VMC programming experience in plastic injection mould manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of CAM software (PowerMILL, NX CAM, Mastercam or similar).

• Experience in machining hot runner moulds, core, cavity, sliders, inserts, manifolds, and precision mould components.

• Knowledge of tooling selection, fixtures, and process planning.

• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings.
