Electrician – Job Role Overview

An electrician installs, maintains, repairs, and inspects electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring they are safe and meet regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Install wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
Inspect electrical systems to identify faults, hazards, or code violations
Repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, fuses, and other components
Test electrical systems using tools like multimeters and voltage testers
Ensure all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards
Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
