Job Summary
As a Die Maker at PolyMech, you'll learn to create, maintain, and repair dies—critical tools used in our manufacturing of precision components. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on skills working with engineering blueprints, precision tools, and machine equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Die Fabrication & Assembly: Learn to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate dies. Select materials, and use machine tools (milling, lathe, grinders, CNC) to shape components. Assemble them with exact alignment.
Die Repair & Maintenance: Assist in inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and refurbishing dies. Use tools such as welding, grinding, and machining to restore functionality.
Quality Assurance: Use precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to measure and verify die tolerances and performance before production use.
Documentation & Inventory: Maintain records of die specifications, repairs, and logs. Assist in monitoring and reordering materials and spare parts.
Collaboration & Continuous Learning: Work with engineers and production peers to understand new die requirements and improve existing designs. Actively seek guidance to develop your skills.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols when operating tools and machinery, keeping the workspace organized and compliant.
