Role Overview
The Production cum Service Engineer will be responsible for managing production activities, performing machine/service installation, and providing technical support to customers, and ensuring timely service resolutions. The role requires coordination between the production and service teams to ensure smooth workflow, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Operations
Assist in the assembly, wiring, testing, and quality inspection of machines/products.
Ensure production timelines are achieved as per the work plan.
Maintain production reports and ensure adherence to internal SOPs.
Monitor production efficiency and coordinate for material requirements.
2. Installation & Commissioning
Conduct on-site installation and commissioning of machines/products.
Provide operational training to clients during installation.
Prepare installation reports and feedback for continuous improvement.
3. Customer Service & Technical Support
Attend customer service calls and troubleshoot machine/product issues.
Diagnose faults and perform repairs onsite or via remote support.
Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints to maintain service satisfaction.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain service records, installation reports, and maintenance logs.
Share daily/weekly/monthly service updates with the Service Manager.
Support warranty and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) service activities.
5. Spare Parts & Material Coordination
Identify required spare parts for repairs and coordinate with stores/procurement.
Ensure proper usage and accountability of tools and spare parts.
6. Cross-Department Coordination
Coordinate with production, store, purchase, and dispatch teams to ensure order completion.
Support R&D team with improvement feedback based on field performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics (preferred).
0–3 years of experience in production and/or service engineering (fresher’s can be considered).
Hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting and installation (preferred).
Basic knowledge of MS Office for service reporting and documentation.
Ability to travel for service and installation work as required.
