We are looking for an Minimum 6+ Years experienced Quality In-Charge with strong expertise in transformer tank fabrication, welding quality, and heavy structural manufacturing. The candidate will lead the entire quality function, ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards, and implement strong QA/QC systems across all production stages.
This role requires deep technical knowledge of fabrication processes, NDT, painting quality, and pressure testing related to transformer tanks.
· Lead the QA/QC department including quality engineers and inspectors.
· Develop and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS).
· Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer specifications, and quality plans.
· Conduct internal audits and quality reviews.
· Inspect raw materials such as MS plates, SS materials, structural steel, and consumables.
· Monitor cutting, bending, fit-up, and assembly processes.
· Ensure dimensional accuracy as per drawings.
· Approve and monitor WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
· Ensure welding as per ASME/AWS/IS standards.
· Monitor welding consumables control and storage.
· Conduct weld inspection through visual and NDT methods.
· Plan and supervise UT, RT, DPT, MPT, vacuum testing.
· Monitor pressure testing and leak testing of transformer tanks.
· Review NDT reports and test records.
· Ensure blasting standards
· Monitor DFT (Dry Film Thickness) as per specifications.
· Ensure corrosion protection and coating quality.
· Prepare quality reports, test certificates, and final documentation dossiers.
· Coordinate with customers and third-party inspectors.
· Handle customer complaints and implement CAPA.
· Conduct final inspection before dispatch.
· Ensure all quality requirements are met prior to shipment.
· Analyze rejections and improve processes.
· Train production teams on quality practices.
· Reduce rework and quality failures.
