Manufacturing Quality Control Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, conducting inspections, maintaining quality records, identifying defects, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of components and finished products.

• Ensure products are manufactured as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Inspect dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and other measuring instruments.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection standards.

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and check sheets.

• Identify quality issues, defects, and deviations during the manufacturing process.

• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.

• Raise and follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

• Assist in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA).

• Monitor and maintain quality standards and process controls on the shop floor.

• Support customer complaints, rejection analysis, and corrective actions.

• Coordinate with suppliers for incoming material/component quality issues.

• Maintain calibration records and ensure measuring instruments are properly calibrated.

• Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and supplier audits as required.

• Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System and ISO procedures.

• Maintain proper documentation and records related to quality activities.

• Promote continuous improvement and reduction of rejection, rework, and customer complaints.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes.

• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.

• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.

• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and CAPA.

• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.

• Good knowledge of MS Office / Excel and quality documentation.

Preferred Experience

Experience in machining, fabrication, assembly, hydraulic components, automotive components, or other mechanical manufacturing industries will be preferred.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
