We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior PCB Repair & Failure Analysis Engineer to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SMT, PTH, and PCB repair processes, with hands-on experience in advanced rework and root cause analysis of electronic assemblies. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical troubleshooting ability, and adherence to industry quality standards.
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in electronics repair, SMT manufacturing, or PCB repair operations.
Experience in automotive electronics manufacturing will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical failures related to SMT, PTH, and functional defects.
Handle complex PCB and component repair activities beyond Level 1–3 operator capabilities.
Operate advanced repair and inspection equipment, including:
Soldering & de-soldering stations
BGA rework stations
Microscope inspection systems
Analyze circuit diagrams, schematics, and BOMs for fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Repair high-value and critical electronic assemblies while ensuring PCB tracks and pads are not damaged.
Carry out SMD rework, jumper wiring, track repair, and component replacement with high precision.
Maintain repair logs, defect records, and traceability documentation.
Coordinate with Quality, Process, and Engineering teams to resolve recurring production and field issues.
Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve repair yield.
Ensure strict compliance with:
ESD safety standards
IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)
Train and mentor junior technicians and Level 1–3 operators on repair techniques and quality practices.
