Quality Analyst

Job Summary:

The QA Executive (Wood Industry) is responsible for ensuring that all timber and wood-based products meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations. The role includes monitoring raw timber quality, inspecting in-process machining (sawing, moulding, cutting), and verifying finished goods before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming raw timber for defects (knots, cracks, moisture, grading).

• Monitor machine-processed wood (saws, moulders, ripsaws) for correct dimensions, cutting quality, and finishing.

• Ensure pallet planks, boards, and moulded parts meet size and strength requirements.

• Conduct routine quality checks during each production stage and maintain inspection records.

• Identify non-conformance, record defects, and coordinate with production for corrective action.

• Test wood products for strength, durability, and moisture content where applicable.

• Ensure packaging and storage standards are followed to avoid damage.

• Implement and monitor QA processes, SOPs, and checklists across operations.

• Assist in customer complaint resolution and preventive quality measures.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and scrap.
