Manufacturing Quality Analyst

A Fire Assay Master(Qualification Required- B.Sc Chemist Fire Assay Master) is a senior laboratory professional responsible for conducting and overseeing fire assay testing, primarily to determine the concentration of precious metals such as gold and silver in ore, concentrate, bullion, and other geological samples.

Typical Job Description

• Perform and supervise fire assay procedures for gold, silver, and other precious metals.

• Prepare, weigh, flux, fuse, and cupel samples according to laboratory procedures.

• Operate and maintain furnaces, balances, cupellation equipment, and related laboratory instruments.

• Ensure accurate sample preparation, analysis, and reporting of assay results.

• Review assay data and identify abnormal or inconsistent results.

• Conduct quality-control checks, including reference materials, blanks, and duplicate samples.

• Maintain laboratory records, test reports, and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Train and supervise junior assayers and laboratory technicians.

• Troubleshoot assay-process issues and improve testing accuracy and efficiency.

• Coordinate with geology, mining, metallurgy, and quality-control teams regarding assay results.
