Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to manage and coordinate the design, fabrication, and installation of commercial kitchen equipment projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background, experience in stainless steel fabrication, and a good understanding of foodservice equipment standards and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to gather project requirements and technical specifications.
Review kitchen layout drawings, equipment schedules, and BOQs.
Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Supervise fabrication processes, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with the design team to produce shop drawings and equipment installation layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
Monitor project budgets and control costs without compromising quality.
Manage site installation activities, including manpower planning, material delivery, and subcontractor coordination.
Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for equipment.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, NSF, and other relevant industry standards.
Provide technical support during pre-sales, installation, and post-installation phases.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in kitchen equipment manufacturing or related industries.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication and foodservice equipment design is a strong plus.
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with international kitchen design guidelines (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, NSF, etc.).
Experience working with hotels, restaurants, hospitals, or institutional kitchens.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical coordination in kitchen environments.
