Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring smooth functioning of production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
Plan and implement production schedules to meet business targets.
Optimize processes to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
Develop and drive operational strategies aligned with company goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and cost reduction initiatives.
Implement best practices across all plant functions.
Lead and mentor department managers and plant staff.
Ensure workforce productivity, skill development, and performance evaluation.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with QA/QC teams for consistent product quality.
Conduct internal audits and ensure readiness for external audits.
Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and statutory regulations.
Drive safety culture and conduct regular training and risk assessments.
Implement measures to reduce accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
Monitor budgets, control operational costs, and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Oversee procurement planning for raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
Reduce wastage and improve cost efficiency.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and utilities.
Oversee plant infrastructure upgrades and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for ensuring uninterrupted operations.
Liaise with top management for reporting plant performance and operational issues.
Collaborate with supply chain, finance, HR, and other departments.
Represent the plant in management reviews, audits, and external inspections.
