JOB DESCRIPTION – PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in capacitor manufacturing, electrical components, electronic components or similar process-oriented industries.
The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, reducing rejection and ensuring efficient utilization of manpower and machines.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, monitor and control daily production activities as per the production schedule.
Manage manufacturing processes related to capacitors, electrical components or similar products.
Monitor production output, cycle time, machine utilization and rejection rates.
Coordinate with the Quality Department to maintain product quality and resolve production-related defects.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions and process parameters.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor manpower deployment, material availability and machine performance.
Maintain daily production reports, rejection sreport, downtime records and shift-wise production data.
Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdown resolution.
Ensure 5S, safety standards and housekeeping on the production floor.
Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
Coordinate with Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Planning departments for smooth production operations.

Process-oriented Manufacturing Industries
Preference: Candidates having direct experience in capacitor manufacturing, electrical components or electronic component assembly and testing will be preferred.

Production planning and shop-floor management
Manpower and machine utilization
Production reporting and MIS
Rejection and downtime analysis
Basic knowledge of quality tools and root-cause analysis
Knowledge of 5S, SOPs and continuous improvement
MS Excel and production documentation
Candidate Profile
The candidate should be technically sound, disciplined and capable of independently handling day-to-day production activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams and achieving production targets.
