Production Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer Press shop to manage and optimize welding/Press operations in our manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production, maintaining quality standards, improving productivity, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day welding/Press production activities including MIG/TIG welding operations.

• Ensure production targets are achieved with required quality and delivery timelines.

• Supervise welding operators and ensure proper utilization of manpower and machines.

• Monitor and improve parameters, cycle time, and productivity.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, welding procedures, and inspection requirements.

• Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and production planning teams for smooth operations.

• Implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

• Maintain production records, reports, and documentation.

• Ensure proper maintenance of welding fixtures/ Press dies, jigs, and machines.

• Support new product development trials and production readiness.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop floor discipline.

• Handle customer quality requirements and internal audits when required

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering.

• 5-10 years experience in welding production in automotive or sheet metal manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of MIG welding, welding fixtures, jigs, and stamping processes.

• Experience in manpower handling and shop floor production management.

• Understanding of quality systems, welding defects, and corrective actions.

• Good problem-solving and leadership skills.
