Manufacturing Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage the induction hardening furnace operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing the performance of induction hardening equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution:

Develop and implement production schedules for induction hardening processes.

Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure smooth operations.

Monitor daily production activities and troubleshoot issues to meet targets.

Process Management:

Oversee the operation of induction hardening furnaces, ensuring optimal performance.

Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, energy efficiency, and quality.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process specifications.

Quality Assurance:

Maintain and improve quality standards of hardened components.

Collaborate with the quality control team for inspections, testing, and defect reduction.

Maintenance & Safety:

Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of induction furnaces to minimize downtime.

Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Conduct safety audits and training sessions regularly.

Team Management:

Supervise, train, and motivate production staff.

Manage shift operations and ensure adequate staffing levels.

Promote teamwork and continuous improvement culture.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPI metrics.

Analyze data to identify areas for process enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.

Proven experience (5+ years) in production management within induction hardening or heat treatment processes.

Strong knowledge of induction hardening technology, furnaces, and thermal processing.

Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Good communication and organizational skills.
