Mechanical Engineer - Technical Documentation Specialist

Mechanical Engineer Associate Position Description: This position is responsible for creating technical documentation for pumps involving IOM (Installation, Operation, Maintenance), Service / Operational manuals, Assembly, and disassembly procedures. Accountabilities: Works on service manuals/operational manual for all Flowserve-SIHI pumps and systems. Performs documentation work that is varied and complex, under minimum supervision. Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work, and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation. Create technical documents by following established business unit standards and procedures by producing consistent and reliable results. Performs document self and peer checking process and achieves high quality in submissions. Deliver clear and complete technical documents as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality. Timely update status to all the stakeholders. Understand the basic functions of documentation control, document preservation and computer filing. Maintain and develop technical and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 4 years and above or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years and above of technical writing experience in Pump or related mechanical industry. Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/technical documents/reports. Ability to understand the mechanical product/system assembling and dismantling procedures and maintained procedures by considering ease maintained and user safety. Hands on experience in pump assembly, repair and servicing is an added advantage. Competencies: Team player, Creative thinker, who is highly self-motivated. Strong Technical writing skills. Experienced user of computer programs like Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
