Maintenance Engineer – Job Responsibilities
Ensure smooth functioning of all production machinery and equipment used in capacitor manufacturing, such as winding machines, impregnation units, testing machines, ovens, and assembly lines.
Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Diagnose equipment faults and resolve machine breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
Prepare and implement maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and utilities.
Monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
Maintain utilities such as compressors, HVAC systems, generators, electrical panels, and air lines.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure machines operate as per process requirements and quality standards.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts consumption, and machine history.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/purchase for procurement.
Install, inspect, and commission new machinery or upgraded equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical standards, and company maintenance SOPs.
Conduct root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Support automation, machine modification, and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance.
Train machine operators on basic troubleshooting and routine machine care.
Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in maintenance and machine areas.
