Job Title: Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Operator
Reporting To: Production Manager / Shop Floor Incharge
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related field
Experience: 1–3 Years
Location: Sachin, Hojiwala and Navsari
Key Responsibilities
Operate Fiber Laser Cutting Machines as per production requirements and approved drawings.
Load and unload sheets/materials safely and efficiently.
Set machine parameters according to material type, thickness, and cutting specifications.
Monitor cutting quality and ensure dimensional accuracy of components.
Perform machine setup, nozzle changes, lens cleaning, and routine maintenance activities.
Identify and rectify minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials and minimize scrap generation.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, nesting layouts, and work orders.
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
Maintain production records, machine logs, and daily output reports.
Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies.
Required Skills
Knowledge of Fiber Laser Cutting Machine operation and programming basics.
Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication details.
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Measuring Tape.
Understanding of material grades, thicknesses, and cutting parameters.
Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
Ability to work in shifts and achieve production targets.
Preferred Experience
Experience operating Fiber Laser Cutting Machines from brands such as Bystronic, Trumpf, Bodor, HSG, Eagle, or similar.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication or machinery manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of nesting software and CNC machine operations will be an added advantage.
