Extrusion Machine Operator

UMA RUBBER AND PLASTIC PRODUCT is a rubber product manufacturing company incorporated in 1991.

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Extrusion Machine Operator to run, monitor, and maintain rubber and silicone extrusion machines. The candidate should have experience in handling extrusion operations, setting parameters, and ensuring product quality and machine efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate rubber/silicone extrusion machines as per the specified parameters and SOPs.
  
  

• Set up tooling, dies, and machine settings according to job requirements and product specifications.
  
  

• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality and output.
  
  

• Inspect extruded profiles for dimensions, surface quality, and material consistency using measuring instruments.
  
  

• Record production data, shift reports, and machine logs accurately.
  
  

• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in the machine area.
  
  

• Identify and troubleshoot minor machine or quality issues and escalate when necessary.
  
  

• Work closely with the quality and production teams to meet daily targets and maintain product standards.
  
  

• Follow proper material loading, mixing, and handling procedures.
  
  

• Perform routine maintenance and support preventive maintenance schedules.
  
  

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Minimum Requirement:
  ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Rubber Technology, or any technical trade
  OR
  10th / 12th pass with hands-on experience in rubber/plastic extrusion
  
  

• 2–5 years of experience operating extrusion machines, preferably in rubber or silicone manufacturing.
  
  

• Understanding of extrusion process parameters: temperature, pressure, RPM, curing/line speed.
  
  

• Familiarity with different types of dies and tools used in profile or tubing extrusion.
  
  

• Ability to use measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  
  

• Basic troubleshooting skills and awareness of production quality standards.
  
  

• Physically fit, disciplined, and willing to work in shifts.

Selection Criteria for Extrusion Machine Operator

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

Candidate Qualification Criteria

Education (Minimum Requirement):

• ITI / Diploma (Mechanical or Rubber/Plastic)
  
  

• OR 10th/12th Pass with relevant experience
  
  

Work Experience:

• 2–5 years in extrusion operations in rubber, silicone, or plastic industries
  
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Machine setup, operation, and parameter control
  
  

• Quality inspection and in-process monitoring
  
  

• Basic mechanical and machine maintenance knowledge
  
  

• Die/tool handling and cleaning procedures
  
  

• Shift discipline and team coordination
  
  

Additional Preferences:

• Experience with silicone profile or tubing extrusion
  
  

• Knowledge of Class 10,000 cleanroom or pharma-grade production is a plus
  
  

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
