Position : Roasting Operator
Qualification : Diploma In Mechanical/Electrical
Reporting to : Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities includes & not limited to:
Operate roasting machines as per production plan and recipe selection.
· Comply with food safety and quality standards.
Monitor roasting parameters such as temperature, time, airflow, and colour and Gas consumption.
Ensure consistency in roast profiles and product quality.
Make real-time adjustments during roasting to maintain target profiles.
Ensure batches meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and troubleshoot roast defects.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Report technical issues to maintenance or engineering teams.
Regularly inspect and clear husk collection bags during roasting while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Perform pre-cleaning and post-cleaning of roasting equipment.
Record batch details, roast profiles, and production data.
Ensure proper storage and handling of green and roasted coffee beans.
Identify and report equipment issues or deviations.
· Operate machinery effectively to avoid any accidents.
· Ensure that machines are working properly and safely.
· Complete daily production reports and submit to Supervisors.
· Notify Supervisor about equipment and production problems.
· Load and move bags manually as required.
· To follow CLITA/Autonomous maintenance practices.
· Follow all safety procedures related to heat, gas, and machinery.
· Shift-based or early morning work may be required.
· Knowledge of different green coffee Grades and origin.
