Title: Incoming Quality Engineer
Purpose:
To ensure that all incoming materials, components, and products meet defined quality standards and specifications before they enter the production process. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity and preventing defects downstream.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Evaluation
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming parts, assemblies, and components using tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges etc
Approve or reject incoming materials based on specifications; initiate Nonconforming Material Reports (NCRs) for rejected items
Develop and implement incoming inspection documents and dimensional checks based on engineering drawings and specifications
Quality Systems & Documentation
Maintain accurate inspection records and logs; ensure traceability of inspected items
Assist in developing and maintaining Quality Control Plans and inspection methods
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Provide feedback to suppliers, production supervisors, and operators regarding quality concerns
Participate in internal and external audits
Qualifications & Skill:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , or related field.
3–5 years of experience in quality inspection, probably in automotive industry
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding geometric tolerances.
Experience with SAP.
Knowledge of instrument handling.
Basic knowledge of EXCEL, power point, 7QC tools, 8D
