Oversee daily production activities on the shop floor to ensure smooth and timely output.
Allocate work to operators, fabricators, polishers, welders, and helpers according to production schedules.
Monitor production progress and ensure targets, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.
Coordinate with planning and procurement teams for raw material availability (SS sheets, pipes, fittings, consumables, etc.).
Inspect raw materials, in-process work, and finished goods to maintain quality standards.
Ensure adherence to company specifications, tolerances, and finishing requirements (e.g., mirror polish, buffing, brushing).
Identify defects or non-conformities and take corrective actions immediately.
Maintain records of quality checks and rework details.
Supervise and manage factory workers — welders, grinders, polishers, helpers, and fabricators.
Ensure attendance, discipline, and safety compliance among staff.
Train new workers on operational processes, machine handling, and safety protocols.
Resolve minor worker issues and report major concerns to management.
Ensure all machines (cutting, bending, polishing, welding, buffing, etc.) are operating efficiently.
Schedule routine maintenance and inform the maintenance team of breakdowns immediately.
Keep records of machine usage and maintenance logs.
Supervise receipt and issue of raw materials and consumables from stores.
Maintain proper material traceability and ensure minimal wastage.
Verify finished goods before dispatch and ensure proper packaging and labeling.
Update daily production and material consumption reports.
Enforce strict safety measures — PPE usage, fire safety, and housekeeping.
Ensure compliance with factory laws and company policies.
Conduct safety drills and training sessions periodically.
Coordinate with management, design, and dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
Prepare daily/weekly production and manpower reports.
Communicate delays, issues, or bottlenecks to higher management proactively.
