Intern – System Diagnostic Tools Job Description Summary We are looking for an Engineering Intern to support the development of system diagnostic tools for a mobile X-ray system. This internship is ideal for candidates interested in diagnostic tool development, troubleshooting, software-enabled service solutions, and cross-functional product engineering. Job Description Role & Responsibilities: Support the development of system diagnostic tools for a mobile X-ray system. Contribute to the design of troubleshooting workflows for field engineers. Work with cross-functional teams to understand system behavior, fault conditions, logs, and service needs. Support prototype development, testing, and validation of diagnostic tool concepts. Assist in analyzing issues across software, hardware, and firmware interfaces. Help document diagnostic logic, troubleshooting steps, and technical findings. Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and implementation clarifications. Desired Characteristics Preferred Qualifications Be a good team player and uphold integrity. Qualifications/Requirements B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related technical discipline . 70% or 7 CGPA aggregate in the current degree. No active backlogs at the time of application. Willing to work in GE HealthCare premises during the internship. Willing to work on any projects as assigned based on fitment and business need. Strong interest in diagnostic tools, troubleshooting, product development, and engineering problem-solving. Academic or project experience in software development, embedded systems, testing, debugging, or technical troubleshooting is preferred. Skills Knowledge of software development, scripting, or automation tools. Basic understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and firmware concepts. Familiarity with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting concepts. Exposure to hardware-software interaction and firmware behavior is desirable. Ability to support troubleshooting involving hardware, electrical, or firmware-related issues. Basic knowledge of lab tools, service interfaces, or test setups is an advantage.
