Job Description – CNC Drilling Machine Operator

Job Title: CNC Drilling Machine Operator
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related field
Experience: 1–5 Years
Location: Kadodara, Surat

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Drilling Machines as per production plans and engineering drawings. 

• Load, align, and clamp workpieces securely before machining. 

• Set up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters as per job requirements. 

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, drilling layouts, and work orders. 

• Ensure hole positions, dimensions, and tolerances meet specified requirements. 

• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments. 

• Monitor machine performance and make necessary parameter adjustments. 

• Perform routine machine maintenance and daily housekeeping activities. 

• Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues promptly. 

• Minimize material wastage and maintain optimum productivity. 

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments for smooth workflow. 

• Maintain production records, machine logs, and inspection reports. 

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies. 

Required Skills

• Knowledge of CNC Drilling Machine operation and setup. 

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. 

• Familiarity with drilling tools, fixtures, and machining practices. 

• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Height Gauge, and Measuring Tape. 

• Understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements. 

• Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills. 

• Ability to work independently and achieve production targets. 

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machinery manufacturing, or heavy engineering industries. 

• Knowledge of CNC programming basics and G-code concepts will be an added advantage. 

• Experience operating multi-axis drilling machines will be preferred. 

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
