-Load raw material (bar stock) and ensure correct feeding through the guide bush
-Select and mount correct tooling, inserts, and collets as per job requirements
-Run trial cuts and adjust offsets to achieve required dimensions
Programming & Setup
-Read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
-Perform machine setup including tool offsets, work coordinates, and program verification
-Edit and modify existing CNC programs (G-code/M-code) when required
-Carry out first-off inspection before mass production run
Quality Control
-Conduct in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, CMM, etc.)
-Ensure components meet tight tolerances (often ±0.01mm or better)
-Maintain inspection records and production logs
Report non-conformances and raise corrective actions
Maintenance & Housekeeping
-Perform routine preventive maintenance and lubrication of machines
-Identify and report machine faults or abnormalities to the maintenance team
-Maintain a clean and safe working environment (5S standards)
